Tupelo Journal, April 28, 1882
  It is with sincere regret that we chronicle the death of Jeptha Robins, Jr., 
eldest son of Col. Jeptha Robins, of Guntown, which occurred at that place on 
Monday morning last.  The deceased had just attained to the estate of manhood 
and his intellectual and moral development was such as to promise a life of 
great usefulness, but the inexorable hand of disease was laid upon him and he 
was called hence in the morning of his life.  We are told that this is the 
first visit of the messenger of death to the family, and though casting its 
warning shadow before, its coming fell with crushing effect upon hopeful and 
loving hearts.  May the God of all grave comfort the bereaved ones.
