Tupelo Journal, March 24, 1882
  SALTILLO, MISS., March 17, 1882.—We are pained to chronicle the death of a 
most estimable lady of our town, the wife of Dr. D. J. Stevenson, who died on 
the 4th inst., after a protracted illness.  She leaves a husband, sister, and 
four children to mourn her loss.  The entire community extend their sympathy to 
the bereaved family.  While it is poor consolation in their present trouble, 
yet it is all we can do.  May they look to the Author of every good and perfect 
gift for consolation in this their hour of trial.
