	N. L. WITCHER
	-------
  Mr. N. L. Witcher, died at his home near Bissell on Friday the 18th inst., 
and was buried the following day at White Zion church where a large number of 
friends gathered to pay their last tribute of respect.
  Mr. Witcher had reached his eighty fifth birthday.  He had lived in Lee 
County for more than a half century and was honored and respected by everyone 
who knew him.  He was a good neighbor, good friend and good citizen and in his 
death the community in which he lived so long lost one of its best men.
