The Brookhaven Ledger - Thursday Dec 9, 1875
In Brookhaven, on Saturday at 11:50am December 4, 1875, Mrs Emily. G Burke, 
consortof Capt. J.D Burke, aged thirty-one years, one month and two days-- 
Deceased was a daughter of Mr. Jno. G and Mrs Sarah Guice of Franklin Co, Miss. 
She was born in Tensas Parish LA, November 2nd, 1844, was married to Capt. J.D 
Burk, Sept 14th 1864. Member of Presbyterian Church. She leaves behind husband 
and one child.
