April 28, 1905 The Easter Egg Hunt given by Mrs. Celeste (Lawrence) Dismukes to the little folks last Sunday afternoon in honor of Miss Inez Pettus, the pretty little daughter of A. C. Pettus, was much enjoyed by the little people and all who attended. Our town is building up right along. The store house of Dr. Cook (T.L.H. Cook) will be copleted next week and will immediately be occupied by Mr. A. G. Cook (Alan). The store buildings of Messrs. W. J. Locke and A. N. Butts are under mode of construction and Mr. Jim Mason, will erect an elegant residence near the residence of Dr. Cook, there are also rumors of other residences to be built in the near future. Misses Avis and Earline Mitchell, who are attending the I. I. & C. at Columbus, spent Saturday and Sunday with their parents. They were accomplanied by Miss Julia Cox, who returned with them Sunday evening. Come out to prayer meeting Wednesday nights; we meet promptly at 8:00 o'clock, and will not detain you longer than forty minutes, surely you can spend this length of time serving the Lord. Miss Celeste Dismukes, who is attending school at Columbus, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Dismukes, Saturday and Sunday. Miss Mary Lamb of West Point, Miss., is the fair visitor of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Lamb this week. Mr. J. M. Mason spent Tuesday in Columbus on Business. Lowndes Lodge No. 171, K. of P., will meet in regular session Wednesday night after prayer meeting, visiting brothers cordially invited. Mr. Tom McIlwain, one of Mr. J. N. Roberts efficient clerks, attended Decoration Day exercises in Columbus, Wednesday.
