When you see the iron gate, on the left, turn left and go ½ mile down the dirt road. The cemetery is at the end of the dirt road. It is across the Highway from the Cameron Family Home. Description: There is a brick wall around the graves with a large decorative iron gate. Cameron married Virginia Chick who died in 1920. Cameron Lillian Wife of Dr. Tom O. Staples d. Collins Co., Texas / Sacred to the memory of Lillian Cameron / Beloved wife of Dr. Tom O. Staples of Meads Co., Ky. Born May 9, 1866 Departed this life in Collin Co., Texas April 20, 1888. Cameron M. Note: The copier shows: M. Cameron & son Phillip Penquite Cameron died on the same date and apparently share the same headstone. Inscription on this stone is as follows: This tomb erected by / M. Cameron in memory of his affectionate consort Cameron Malcolm Note: The copiers added some notes to the survey, i.e., Malcolm Cameron married Tennessee Penquite, daughter of Dr. A. Penquite in 1841. She died in Jan. 24, 1844 and in 1845 Malcolm Cameron married Mary Matilda Montgomery. Cameron Malcolm October 29, 1913 Cameron Philip Penquite Note: The copier show that apparently this stone is shared with M. Cameron and they share the same dates of death. Notes by the copier indicate that Philip Penquite Cameron was evidently the a child of the first marriage. Cameron Virginia Chick June 23, 1920 d. at Jackson, Miss.
