Deed between Daniel Moore & Benjamin Williams

Book C, page 281 

D.  Moore deed to B. Williams}  Received for record the 8th day of 
January 1836 State of Mississippi, Madison Co.}  Know all men by these 
presents that I Daniel Moore and Mary my wife of the County and state 
aforesaid have this day for and in consideration of the sum of four 
hundred dollars to us in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby 
acknowledged and sold and by these presents do sell and deliver unto 
Benjamin Williams of the county and State aforesaid all our right, 
title, claim and interest in and to a tract or parcel of land lying and 
being in the County and State aforesaid to wit: the North ½ East ½ of 
the Northwest 1/6 of Section 13 of Township 8 of Range 3 East 
containing forty acres be the same more or less.  The title of said 
land we bind ourselves our heirs and assigns to warrant and defend unto 
the said Benjamin Williams his heirs and assigns forever.  Witness our 
hands and seals this 26th day of December one thousand eight hundred 
and thirty five.

The State of Mississippi, Madison County}  This day personally appeared 
before me the undersigned Justice of the Peace for said County Daniel 
Moore who acknowledged that he signed the within deed for the 
consideration therein mentioned.  At the same time I have examined his 
wife separate and apart from her husband who says she signed the within 
deed as her voluntary act without fear, threats or compulsion from her 
husband given under my hand and seal this 26th day of December 1835.
