Deed between Daniel Moore & Pleasant B. Bailey Book L page 161, 162 Daniel Moore Deed P B Bailey} Received for record 27th March & Recorded 20th April 1849 This indenture made this 27th day of March one thousand eight forty nine between Daniel Moore & Mary his wife as the first part of the County of Madison and state of Mississippi, and Pleasant B Bailey of the County of Hinds and state aforementioned. Witnesseth that the said Daniel Moore & Mary his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty dollars to them in hand paid by the said Pleasant B Bailey in and before the sealing of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained sold and conveyed, and by these presents doth bargain sell and convey unto the said Pleasant B Bailey her heirs and assigns all that tract or Lot of land lying in the town of Sharon in said County & State aforementioned, bounded as follows, viz. East by Lot belonging to Daniel Moore, South by lands of William Joiner & G P Moore, & Northwest by the Sharon and Canton Road. Containing twelve acres more or less together with all and singular the tenements hereditiments rights and privileges unto the above described lot of land lying in the said town of Sharon to have and to hold the said Lot of Land free from all lawful claims from any person or persons Whatsoever subject to all conditions as laid down in the Charter of said town of Sharon. Whereof the said Daniel Moore & Mary his wife have hereunto set their hand & affixed their seals this date & year above written. Daniel Moore Mary Moore State of Mississippi, Madison County} Personally appeared before the undersigned an acting member of the Board of Police in and for said County & State Daniel Moore and acknowledged that he signed sealed and delivered the foregoing deed for the conditions therein mentioned, and on a private examination of Mary Moore separate and apart from her said husband Daniel Moore she acknowledged that she signed sealed and delivered the foregoing deed as her voluntary act without any fear threat or compulsion from her husband this 27th March 1849.
