Deed between Daniel Moore & James S. Harris Book N, page 489, 490 Daniel Moore & wife Deed James S. Harris} Received for record April 12th 1855 State of Mississippi, Madison County} This Indenture made this twentieth day March one thousand eight hundred fifty five between Daniel Moore, Mary Moore his wife of the first part and James S Harris of the second part all of the County and State above written witnesseth that the said Daniel Moore & wife for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred and sixty dollars to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have this day bargained sold and conveyed to the said James S Harris all that tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the said County & State known and designated & described as follows, viz., the N 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of Sec. 30 Township eight of range 3 East containing eighty acres more or less with all and singular the heredaments and appertenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold the above described land forever free from all lawful claims whatever which we bind ourselves our heirs and assigns forever to defend against all lawful claims. Given under our hands and seals this day and year above. Daniel Moore Mary Moore Personally appeared me Thomas J. Smith acting Justice of the Peace Daniel Moore who acknowledged that he signed sealed and delivered the foregoing Deed for the conditions therein mentioned also Mary Moore his wife acknowledged separate and apart from her husband that she signed sealed and delivered the foregoing deed for the consideration therein mentioned and without compulsion from her said husband this 22nd day March 1855.
