Deed of Slave between Daniel Moore & Willie Lyons Book M page 521 Daniel Moore To Deed Willie Lyons} Received for record 22nd Feb & Recorded ____ State of Mississippi, Madison County} This indenture made and entered into this the 21st day of February 1853 by and between Daniel Moore of the first part and Willie Lyons of the second part both of the County and State aforesaid. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for ___ indebted to the party of the second part in the sum of fifteen hundred dollars which is insured by three promissory notes each five hundred dollars and due 1st January 1856 executed and ___ by said party of the first part and payable to said party of the second part. Now to secure the payment of said sums of money ____ they shall become respectively due and payable the said party of the first part hereby bargains sells and delivers to the said Lyons the following named shares, to wit: Eliza about 28 years of age, three children about years old, Carter 12 years old, Tom 14, Henry 12, Ann 22 years old and 2 children, Mary [Marg ?], and 1 child 2 [?] years old to have and to hold and to hold said shares with their future money said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever but upon condition that the said party is to retain the promissories of said ____ default is made in the payments truly owed [?] ____ of them in that event the said party of the second part is at liberty to take possession of the same of said notes be punctually paid at the times they shall become due and payable then this deed to be void from and after the final payment of said notes and interest ____ this deed is to remain ___ and virtue.
