Will of Anna J. Goodloe, Madison Co., MS, Will Book A My Will. Written with mine own hand this 15th Jan., 1860, Anna J Goodloe. In the first place I give my soul to my ever Blessed Almighty maker three persons on One God who has ever led and preserved me, and I hope will receive me into his kingdom of __ and __ forever. My body I wish laid by my beloved husband’s the James S. Goodloe and at a convenient time an iron railing __ the yard and a tomb or monument erected to both of us in one __ to the last of our children. I wish my children to get some friend to assist them in dividing my property & any cash I own. I wish an equal division of all to all my children except for Mary. I wish her to have Alice, Peter and Rose, more than the others, she being older. Mr. Love __ and equal for other Negroes he has received and Frances whom he sold and after valuing them with more received for Mary and an equal share for the others. This property I bequeath to my children to use, sell and dispose of as they think proper, but if they die without children or without a will then whatever portion of this property they are possessed of shall be divided among my other children or their children. Matilda must be sold and the money appropriated to the paying any debts I owe or if __ the money must be divided with other money or property. To Hattie A.
