Will of Elizabeth Allen, Foreign Will; Madison Co., MS, Will Book A I Elizabeth Allen of the City of Philadelphia State of Pennsylvania being of sound mind do this fourteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine make this my last will and testament. I give and bequeath unto my three daughters Elizabeth A. Shoemaker, widow; and my daughters Margaret and Mary all my estate, real and personal for their own purposes, use and benefit, that is to say, my personal my personal estate such as furniture, plates &tc is to remain unsold theirs to enjoy the use of the same. But all monies on said due or such as are not due when collected are to be invested in such stocks or property as my executors may judge for the interest of the estate. Also all interest rents & accruing from said investments, together with all interest from my estate is to be equally divided as collected among my three daughters share and share alike. But in no case is the capitol stock to be encroached on nor bartered, mortgaged nor in any wise used by any one of them. But my estate is to remain entire so long as any one of my daughters remains unmarried, each one that marries forfeiting to the one or ones remaining single her share of the rents, dividends etc. so that the last single one shall enjoy the entire benefit of the rents dividends &tc of my estate. Now if all marry then it is my wish and desire that my estate shall be equally divided among them at or soon after the marriage of the last one and the same settled on them and their heirs. Should it be that one of my daughters dies leaving one or both of her sisters unmarried and shall have no powers to will away any right whatever to any part of my estate. But should the enjoyment of the __ __ & fall to any one of them through the marriage of the other two, she shall at her death have power to will her share, the same she would have been entitled to had she married, to whomsoever she pleases. And it is my further wish that as my daughter Elizabeth has a daughter named Deborah in case of mother’s death she shall enjoy her mother’s share of rents, dividends &tc and shall take her mother’s portion in all aspects in this my will, enjoying her share of the income and inheriting her share of the property in the same manner and upon the same conditions as her mother have done had she survived. I also wish the sum of two hundred dollars yearly to be expended on the education of my grand son William Allen Adams, the sums to be taken from the dividends rents &tc before division and to be continued until he is eighteen years of age.
