Will of Elizabeth Davis Divine I, Elizabeth Davis Divine of the County of Madison and State of Mississippi being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make publish and declare this to be my last will and testament. Let all my debts be paid including funeral charges. Let all my estate real and personal not hereafter enumerated be sold. Let my body have a christian burial and a plain marble slab or monument mark its final resting place. To my daughter Emmaline Galtney I give and bequeath the slaves Hogan & his wife Maria and their child Mima. To my daughter Mary Coleman I give and bequeath the man Abram and his wife Ester and their daughter Francis and her child Isaac [?]. To my daughter Laura Divine I give and bequeath the house now occupied as my family residence together with one hundred acres of land on which I now reside, and to be so land off as to include the house aforesaid, cotton gin, negro quarters and all other buildings and improvements on the aforesaid tract of land. I also give and bequeath to my said daughter Laura the slaves Sophy & Sarah and Betty, child of said Sarah. To my daughter Ann Ford I give and bequeath the sum of five hundred dollars in money to be paid out proceeds of sale herebefore directed. To my son Kinsman Clinton Divine I give and bequeath the slaves Giles, Frand and Moses. To my daughter Lydia Baldwin I give and bequeath the slaves Anna, Aggy, Mary and her child Omega. To my grandson Wilbin Fisk Divine Ford I give and bequeath the slave Nancy. To my grandson William Fly I give and bequeath the sum of five hundred dollars in money to be paid out of the proceeds of sales hereunto before directed. To the Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church South in Sharon I give and bequeath the sum of five hundred dollars in money to aid in the erection of a new house of worship for the use of said church. I wish my executors to retain out of my estate five hundred dollars which they will invest in good & sufficient security and annually pay the interest on said investments to the Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church South in Sharon to be appropriated by said Trustees towards keeping the cemetary of said church in good repair. To Kinsman Wyatt, son of my deceased husband's niece Mary Dennis I give and bequeath whatever may remain of my estate, after the distributions already herein directed, and it is my desire and belief that such residue of my estate may amount to at best four hundred dollars. And I hereby constitute and appoint my son Kinsman C. Divine and my son in law Felix M. Baldwin executors of this my last will and testament.
