Last Will and Testament of E. M. Moore In the Name of God Amen. I, Elizabeth Malinda Moore of the County of Madison and State of Mississippi being in good health and of sound mind by the favor of God but mindful of the uncertainity of life, and the certainity of death and being desirous that my worldly possessions shall after my decease be destributed among my children in such manner as shall be right and just do ordain this as my last will and testament. I give my body to the dust from whence it came and my spirit to almighty God in whom I trust through the merits of my crucified Redeemer. Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Catherine Francis [?} Moore Simpson the following described land in the county and state before mentioned viz: E 1/2 of E 1/2 of Section 32 and the W 1/2 of of the W 1/2 of SW 1/4 of Section 33 and W 1/2 of SW 1/4 of NW 1/4 of Section 33, all in Township 12 Range 4 East with the condition however precedent that she my said daughter Catherine shall first pay to my son John the sum of three hundred dollars in trust for the benefit of my grand daughter Fannie W. Moore or to my said grand daughter herself after she shall have become of age if not paid before. And I desire it to be distinctly understood that the land which I give to my said daughter Catherine is bound for the payment of said money wherever my said grand daughter shall become of age if not personally paid. Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Josiah Melinda Moore Stebbins the following described land all in the county and state before mentioned, viz: E 1/2 of SW 1/4 and E 1/2 of W 1/2 of SW 1/4 and S 1/2 of E 1/2 of NW 1/4 and E 1/2 of SW 1/4 of NW 1/4 and N 1/2 of N 1/2 of NW 1/4 all in Section 33 Township 12 Range 4 East. But this land is given with the same conditions precident and is bound in the same manner as the land which I bequeathed to my daughter Catherine for the payment of three hundred dollars to my grand daughter Fanny W. Moore. Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved grand daughter Fannie W. Moore six hundred dollars one half of which is to be paid by my daughter Catherine and one half by my daughter Josiah in the manner before mentioned. I also give and begeath to my said grand daughter my own bed and bed clothing which I am accustomed to use myself, and one of my best cows. Item, I also give and bequeath to my daughter Josiah Malinda Stebbins all the rest of the stock of horses, cattle or of any kind that I may be possessed of at the time of my death together with all my household furniture and kitchen furniture and all my beds, except the one that I give to my grand daughter Fannie W. Moore. The foregoing constitutes all my worldly possessions, and I desire it to be understood that the reason that I have given nothing to my beloved sons John L. F. Moore and William Moore is because they recieved their portions out of their father's estate which owing to the losses incident to the late war, my daughters before mentioned never recieved. Nor have I given anything to the descendants of my deceased daughter Rachel June Moore Cathey, Nancy Eliza Moore Latimer and Mary Fleming Moore Simpson because my daughters in their lifetime recieved their portion out of their father's estate which my younger daughters Catherine and Josiah never did. In testamony whereof I have hereunto affixed my hand and seal on the fifth day of December AD one thousand eight hundred and seventy four, and in the presence of the witnesses whose named are hereunto affixed. /s/ E.
