Will of Greene B. Walker - Madison Co., MS Will Book A Georgia, __ County} I Greene B. Walker of the county and state aforesaid being infirm of body but of sound mind and memory do make, utter & publish this my last will and testament as follows. 1st It is my wish that my Negroes should be kept together on my plantation in the County until the crop now planted shall be cut__, grown, __ & sent to market & the proceeds applied to the payment of my just debts. Item 2nd It is my will that my executors hereinafter appointed should be quick to pay my just debts with the proceeds of the crop now growing should there not be enough to __ the same, then __ __ __ it is my wish that my executors hereinafter appointed disposed of as shall proceed to sell such of my personal & real estate except that hereinafter disposed of as shall in their best discretion seem fit to complete the settlement of said debts. Item 3rd I will & bequeath unto Thomas B. H. Johns a quarter section of land lying in Tallapoosa County in the State of Alabama, it being the only land I own in said County of Tallapoosa, the number, Township & Range not now recollected. Item 4th I will & bequeath unto my beloved brother James R. Walker two thousand dollars ($2000), to be raised out of the sale of such of my personal & real estate as __ herein disposed of to my executors hereinafter appointed shall seem most __ & proper. Item 5th After the payment of my just debts and the special bequest to my beloved brother James R. Walker in the manner herein before described it is my will and desire that all [my estate, real & personal not herein before disposed] shall be divided equally between my beloved brothers & sisters to wit, James R. Walker, Beverly Walker, John Walker & Henry Walker & Rebecca Harwell formerly Rebecca Walker, Mary Morrow formerly Mary Walker, Elizabeth Morgan formerly Elizabeth Walker and Nancy Smith formerly Nancy Walker. Item 6th I hereby constitute and appoint James R. Walker, Beverly Walker, John Walker & Henry Walker my executors to carry this my last will & testament into execution.
