Will of Hill Jones, Madison Co., MS, Will Book A In the name of God, Amen. I, Hill Jones, being in ill health, but of a sound and disposing mind do make, this my last will and testament, revoking all others. 1st. I will and bequeath to my dear wife Judith B. Jones her lifetime, and after her death to my son Willis B. Jones all my real estate with all appurtenances connected thereon, including all my horses, cattle, hogs, sheep and stock of every description, all of my waggons and tools of every kind. My wife Judith B. having the privilege of disposing of any of my personal property during her lifetime not otherwise here particularly designated. Also I will and bequeath to her the following Negroes, to wit. Tiller, Vincent, William, Tessy, Phil, Reuben and Susan which personal property it is my wish for her to make any disposition of she may think proper. I also will and bequeath to my son Willis B. Jones the following Negroes, to wit. Edmund, Phil Jr., Martha, Austin and Reuben’s wife, Alfred, Rinu: Richard & Charissy his wife and their three youngest children Cornelius, Catherine & Eliza, also George and my two blind boys Isaac & Britten. I also will and bequeath to my daughter Mary M. Whitehead the following Negroes, to wit. Mose, Daniel and Solomon. I also will and bequeath to my daughter Martha B. McCauley the following Negroes, to wit. John, Louisa, Green and Jock. I also will and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth M. Heweath the following Negroes, to wit. Essip and Huldy. I also will and bequeath to my daughter Rebecca I. Mace the following Negroes, to wit. Charles, Handy and Collier. And furthermore, it is my wish and desire that any part of my personal estate that is not particularly designated in this my will I do also will and bequeath to my dear wife Judith B. Jones with the privilege of her making any disposition of she may think proper. And I do hereby make and ordain my esteemed friend & neighbor Jon M. Elder together with my son in law Nathan B. Whitehead and son Willis B. Jones executors of this my last will and testament.
