Will of Jacob Allen, Madison County MS Cause #1009; Book A; Page 280 This my last will and testament First of all I will and bequeath my soul to God and my body to be decently laid away in the earth. Secondly..I will that all my just debts shall be paid. Thirdly..Mary Granbuys & Charles Whitly having had five hundred dollars each I will that Richard Allen Sarah Young, Susan Beard and Rebecca Hendrix be made equal with them with what they have already recieved, Rebecca H having recieved one hundred fifty & Susan B one hundred & sixty dollars, the above to be paid as early as convenient out of my estate. Fourthy..I will all the balance of my porperty to my wife Caroline Allen during her life and then to her children share and share alike, leaving her to give to each one when they become of age or marry, such porperty as she may think best making each equal firstly and lastly. I will that Gabriel W. Davis & Caroline Allen my wife, be and they are hereby appointed Executor & Executrix of the above will without security. L. neal, dated Dec 26, 1858 and purposing to be the last will & testament of Jacob Allen dec. was presented at the present Term of the Court of Probate whenafter also was produced before the Court A. L. Neal a subscribing whitness of said Will, who being duly sworn deposed and said that he saw the testor Jacob Allen sign seal publish and declare said instrument as ? for his last Will and testament on the day and year of its date. That he this desponent signed his name as a witness there in the presence and at the request of the Testor that at the time of signing sealing ? of said instrument said Testor was of sound and dispensing mind and memory and was then Twenty one years of age. It is therefore ordered and adjudged by the Court that said instrument be and the same is hereby established as --- true original and last Will and Testament of said Jacob --- so far as his Personal Estate is concerned that the same be fil--- court and Recorded Ordered adjudged & devised Jany 10th 1859 J.
