Will of J. R. Dinkins:

Know all men by these presents that I, Joseph Rufus Dinkins of the County of Madison 
and State of Mississippi being possessed of a sound mind and disposeing memory but 
knowing the uncertainity of life do make and publish this my last will and testament in 
manner and form as follows, viz.  That all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid by 
my executor herin after named out of my estate.  Second I will and desire that all the 
____ of my estate, of every description after paying my just debts & funeral expenses 
shall descend to and belong to my sister Anna Rose Dinkins said ____ to be paid over to 
my father Lewis Dinkins and by him kept during his natural life to aid and assist in the 
education of said Anna Rose ____ case or the event that she should die before she arrives 
at age or marries or die without having any lawful children then and in that event the 
aforesaid ___ of my estate shall descend to and be equally divided between my then 
surviving  brothers and sisters.  Thirdly I hereby constitute and appoint my beloved 
brother Claudius H. Dinkins my sole executor to carry out the provisions of this my last 
will and testament and request that no bond shall be required of him and further that he 
will not charge anything for his services but only claim and receive such covenants as 
shall be expected in carrying out this will.
	In testamony wherof I have set my hand and affixed my seal this the 14th day of 
March AD 1862.
