Will of James Lee, Madison Co., MS, Will Book A In the name of God, Amen. I James Lee of the County of Madison and State of Mississippi being of sound and disposing mind do hereby make and ordain this as my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills. First, I order that all of my just debts be paid and the debts to enable my executors to do so I do hereby authorize and empower my executors to sell and consign at private sale the east half of the tract of land which I purchased from Lorenzo Latham on or about the sixth day of November eighteen hundred and forty one. Secondly, I declare that my Negro woman Diley be set free and fully emancipated. Thirdly, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Harriet G. Dunlavy all of my estate both personal and real, hereby entitling the same to her my said daughter Harriet G. Dunlavy and the heirs of her body forever. And lastly, I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint first Lorenzo Latham and secondly James H. Dunlavy my executors to execute and carry into effect this my last will and testament.
