Will of Rebecca Talbot

	In the name of God, Amen.  I Rebecca Talbot of Taunton in the County of Bristol 
State of Massachusetts, widow of Elknah (sic) Talbot deceased being sound in mind and 
memory but weak in body do make & declare this my last will and testament in 
following, to wit.

To my adopted daughter Margaretta Caroline Tubbs I give and bequeath all my wearing 
apparel.  I also give and bequeath to the aforesaid Margaret Caroline Tubbs the following 
articles namely one markee bedstead and curtain belonging to it, bed bolster pillows and 
bedding, one pair filled blankets, one white spread, two pair sheets and one pair pillows, 
one wash stand, wash bowl and ewer, one tortoise writing chair, one gilt framed looking 
glass, one pair of chamber __ bundle sticks.

I give and bequeath to my sister Ann Tubbs the improvement [?] of my say of the farm 
which was given to me by my father of which she owns the other half situated in Taunton 
for the term of five years from my decease including the house and all the buildings on 
said farm.  I also give and bequeath unto my aforesaid sister my part of the stock and 
farming utensils on said farm.  I also will and bequeath her what provisions there may be 
in the house and what produce of the farm there may be on hand at the time of my 
decease.

I also will and bequeath to my mother in law Mrs. Rebecca Hall my easy chair.
I give and bequeath unto my son William Henry Talbot my pearl ring and to my son 
Lonnie Tubbs Talbot I give and bequeath my mourning ring and a lady's plated __ shroud 
and unto my aforesaid son I give and bequeath all the rest of my property whatever it 
may be.

I nominate and appoint my brother in law Benjamin Talbot my executor to this my last 
will and testament, requesting him to be guardian to my two aforesaid orphaned sons.
In witness I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty sixth day of August in 
the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five.  Signed sealed and

I, A__ Bassett, Register of the Court of Probate for said county of Bristol do hereby 
certify that at a court of probate held at Taunton in and for said county on the first day of 
August eighteen hundred and twenty* six Benjamin Talbot of New York in the state of 
New York __ about was duly appointed executor of the last will and testament of 
Rebecca Talbot late of Taunton in the county of Bristol & Commonwealth aforesaid 
deceased a copy of which is hereunto __ and took upon himself that first by giving bond 
as the law directs which appointment was in force at the time of her decease.  In 
testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal of said Court this sixteenth day 
of November eighteen hundred and thirty five.	/s/ A. Bassett
