Will of Wilson Nash The last will and testament of Wilson Nash of Madison County in the State of Mississippi. I Wilson Nash of said county, being of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding do hereby make publish and declare this as my last will and testament as follows, to wit. First. I give and bequeath to my son Madison G. Nash his heirs and assigns the following described land and property with the appurtenances lying in the said county to wit the W 1/2 of NW 1/4 of Section 15 and the W 1/2 of SW 1/2 of Section 15 and the W 1/4 of NW 1/4 of Section 22 and the W 1/2 of SW 1/4 of Section 22 also a tract of ninety five acres in the South East corner of Section 16 all in Township 9 Range 3 East. Also the following named personal property, to wit Negroes Sarah, Madina, Bill, Lourette, Timothy, Andrew, Lucinda, George, Aleck, Elizabeth, Wesley, Easter, Ezekiel, Sally, Jack, Isaac and Sandy. Secondly. I give and bequeath to my son Edwin Franklin Nash his heirs and assigns, the following described land and premises with the appurtenances, lying in said county to wit, the W 1/2 of SW 1/4 of Section 23 & W 1/2 of NW 1/4 of Section 26, SE 1/4 of Section 22, NE 1/4 of Section 27; E 1/2 of SW 1/4 of Section 27, S 1/2 of W 1/2 of SE 1/4 of Section 27; W 1/2 of NW 1/4 of Section 34. Also the following named Negroes to wit: Betsey, Floyd, Mississippi, Ellen, Jim, Bob, Jane, Edy, Nancy, Kitty, Andrew, Tanner, Alice, Tennessee, Maria, Louisa, Washington, Alfred, Charles, Presilla, Nat and Delphy. Thirdly I give and bequeath to my grand son Stephen Lynch Nash his heirs and assigns upon the terms hereinafter stated. The following described lands and premises with the appurtenances being in said county to wit: NE 1/4 of SW 1/4 of Section 22 and the North west quarter of Section 27, all in Township 9 Range 3 East, also the following named Negroes George, Violet, Martha, Caroline, Taylor, Henry, Manny, Lee and Frank; and I give and bequeath said land and Negroes to my said grandson in manner following namely if my said grandson shall die before he comes at the age of twenty one, and without marrying and having a lawful child then and in such event said land and Negroes shall become the property of my sons Madison G. and Edwin their heirs and assigns to be equally divided between them. But if my said grandson shall either make the age of twenty one or marry and leave a lawful child or children their said land and Negroes shall belong to my said grandson in fee simple. And at all events it is my will that my said grandson shall have the benefit and profit of said lands and Negroes during his life and immediately upon my death for his interest and education are uppermost. Fourthly. I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann Eliza Ross the following named personal property to wit Negroes Sall (sic), Grenville, Susan, Harriet, George, Auplice, Thomas, John Daniel, and Dick also my Pianoforte. Fifthly, I give and bequeath to my said sons Madison and Edwin their heirs and assigns to be equally divided between them the following described land and premises with the appurtenances to wit the S 1/2 and NW 1/4 of Section 24 Township 8 Range 2 East: NW 1/2 of Section 7 Township 9 Range 5 East: the S 1/2 of E 1/2 of NW 1/4 of Section 7 Township 9 Range 5 East; lot number six in Section 28 Township 9 Range 2 East lying in said county also the undivided half interest which I own in certain lands lying in the counties of Leake and Attala in said state which were entered in the Government Land Office in the name of myself and William F. Walker as will appear by the Government Land Records with all the lands to which I have any claim or interest in said counties of Leake and Attala. Sixthly. I give and bequeath to my said sons Madison and Edwin all my horses, mules, cattle, hogs, sheep, oxen and other plantation stock to be divided between them as follows, two thirds thereof to said Edwin and one third thereof to the said Madison. Seventhly. . I give and bequeath to my said son Edwin all my household and kitchen furniture of every kind, all my plantation tools, articles, and implements used in and about the farming and plantation purposes. I give and bequeath to my son Madison my barouche and buggy and harnesses. Eighthly. All the rest and residue of my estate whether real, personal, or mixed of which I may be entitled I give and bequeath to my said sons Madison and Edwin their heirs and assigns to be equally divided between them. Ninthly. It is my will and desire that my relation Elijah Young shall upon my death take charge of the person of my said grandson Stephen Lynch Nash and of the property herein bequeathed to him as a trustee for the use and benefit of my said grandson according to the terms and conditions, and for the reasons herein above declared. Tenthly. It is my will and desire that no division of my property shall be made nor any legacy be allotted or distributed to any of the legatees herein named until the cotton crop that may at any time be growing or not shipped to market but gathered and actively hauled to the place or places of shipment and until that is completely done, I desire ___ the property be kept together in the condition it may be in at the time of my death. Lastly. I do hereby constitute and appoint my relative Elijah Young and my son Madison G. Nash executors of this my last will and testament.
