It is under the patronage of the Memphis Conference of the M. E. Church, South. The President, Rev. Stephen G. Starks, A. M., and other members of the Faculty, have high character for learning, moral wrth and competency to impart knowledge in their respective departments. Holly Springs, the seat of the institution, is a beautiful village, situated in the midst of one of the most flourishing portions of the South-Western country, remarkable for healthfulness and the general intelligence of its citizens. For the Session, which closed on the first Thursday of last month, there were 152 students, a list of whose names is embraced in the pamphlet copy of the catalogue referred to, together wit a considerable amounty of interesting information in regard to the institution. We trust that the Franklin Female College will have the success which it so eminently deserves.
