Located ENE off of Gar Irvin Road in Monroe County, MS 
near the Lamar County, AL line on property that is 
believed to have belonged to Thomas Irvin and based on 
plotting of Land Grant Documents, the cemetery IS within 
the grant to Thomas Irvin on 09/01/1846.  The road leading 
to the cemetery begins at N33°55'33.4" W088°15'04.2" elev. 
336ft.  The Northwest corner of the cemetery is at N33°
55'37.8" W088°15'03.4" elev. 366ft.  All monuments are 
facing North.

Additional Comments:
In addition to the 7 marked graves, there are 47 markers made of bits of 
sandstone in various shapes and sizes, there are 4 markers made of new bricks 
that appear to be "replacements" for missing markers.  Also present on the 
Eastern edge of the cemetery is a house-like structure made of sandstone.  
Family lore is that a family traveling through camped on Irvin property and 
their young daughter died.  The father traded livestock to Rigdon for the 
right to bury the daughter in the Irvin family cemetery, supposedly this small 
house is her marker.
