Ragsdale The State of Miss} Monroe County} This Indenture made this the 13th day of April 1827 and in the year of our Lord 1827 between Joseph Foulk of the county and state aforesaid of the one part and D.W. Ragsdale of the same county and state of the other Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to me in hand paid the receipt whereof I the said Ragsdale hereby acknowledge paid by the said J. Foulks and that the said Ragsdale doth hereby sell convey alean [sic] and behoof and confirm unto the said Joseph Fulks his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of Land lying and being in the said county of Monroe and being N 1/2 of the So. W. 1/4 of section 25 Towship 13 south of the state of Tennessee of Range No 19 west containing seventy nine acres and 15/100 of an acre be the same more or less to have and to hold the said tract of Land with all and singular the hereditaments part and parcel thereof to have and to hold all and singular the above described lot or land and premises with the appertenances with the said party of the second part his heirs & assigns to the duly proper use benefit and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever and the land party of the first part hath for his heirs Executors and administrators covenant and grant to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that he the said party of the first part is the true lawful and right owner of all and singular the above described land and premises and of every part and parcel thereof with the appertenances thereunto belonging and that the said land and premises or any part thereof at the time of sealing and delivering these presents are not incumbered by any Mortgage judgment Execution or limitation or by any incumbrence whatsoever by which the title of the said party of the second part hereby made or intended to be made for the above described land premises can or may be changed charged altered or defeated in any way whatsoever and also that the said party of the first part now hath good right full power and lawful authority to grant bargain sell and convey the said land & premises in manner all that he warrant secure and forever defend the said land and premises unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claims and demands of all and every person and persons freely and clearly freed and discharged of and from all manner of incumberance whatsoever.
