Walton, Mayor and Robert H. Walton, Elisha Strong, William A. Sykes and Hugh S. Walsh, Aldermen of the Corporation of the town of Aberdeen, Monroe County and State of Mississippi of the first part, witnesseth: That the said Corporation doth hereby demise and lease unto the said David Clarke all the certain portions in said town designated as fractional block numbered fourteen, fifteen, and sixteen and lying and being north of Commerce Street and opposite to block numbered fourteen, fifteen, and sixteen in that part of said town known as Old Aberdeen and according to the plan thereof and which fractional block numbered fourteen, fifteen, and sixteen is bounded on the South of Commerce Street, on the East by the extension of Mulberry Street North to the Tombigbee River, on the West by the extension of Pine Street, North to said River, and divided and separated by the extension North of Cypress and Cedar Streets to said River, reserving and excepting from said demised and leased premises all right of wharfage privileges to said Corporation, to have and to hold for the term of ten years from the date whereof yielding and paying therefore yearly on every tenth day of October during the said term the yearly rent of twenty-three dollars ($23.00) in annual payments and the said David Clarke covenants to pay the said rent in the manner aforesaid and to deliver up the premises to the said Corporation or its Attorney peacefully and quietly at the end of the said term.
