Services were held Friday, Oct. 17 for Christine Alice Walden Sanders, 91 who died Wed. Oct. 15, 1997, at the Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory after a long illness. She was born March 25, 1906, in Monroe county to Thomas Alvin Walden and Sara Jane Reedy Walden. She was a resident of Becker for many years and attended the Monroe county schools. She married Coyt Milton Sanders in 1925; he died in 1992. She was the oldest member of the Becker Baptist church and a homemaker. She enjoyed music, flower gardening and needlework. The funeral was held at Greenbriar Cemetery in Becker. Survivors include one son, Thomas T. "Tom" Sanders of Tupelo;one daughter, Sara Alice Manasco, and her husband, Don of Quincy, one daughter-in-law, Evelyn Hollis Sanders of Orlando, Fla;nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren-one great-great- grandchild. She was preceded in death by one son Coyt M. Sanders, Jr.
