Lebuth Tubb, representative to the state Legislature from Monroe county eight years and candidate for re-election in the August 7 primary, suffered a heart attack and died while directing a singing at Central Grove Church Sunday afternoon, July 29, He was 63. Long active in the public life of Monroe County, he had taught in the county schools 31 years. He was born in the Hatley Community. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lafayette Tubb of Hatley. As a candidate in the August Primary he had been attending the daily speakings in the county. He leaves four sons, Cayce Tubb, Fort Worth, Texas; Loyal Tubb, Amory; and Kenneth Tubb, Pensacola, Fla. and Hubert Tubb of the Army stationed at San Angelo, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Joe Randle, Clarksdale.
