Mrs. Lorene Wallace, 56, of Amory died Thursday in Gilmore Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Saturday. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery. Born in Bogue Chitto, LA, she was reared in Electric Mills, Miss. and attended the county schools. She was married in 1937 to J. O. Wallace and they had resided in Amory since 1940. Survivors are her husband; one son, James Odell (Jimmy) Wallace of the home; one daughter, Tammy Marie Wallace of the home; two brothers, Richard Carley of Uneria, LA, and Elmo Carley of Macon; four sisters, Mrs. Nell Stewart of Tupelo, Mrs. Lola Barr of Birmingham, Mrs. Thelma Manning of Columbus, and Mrs. Nora Vandavendar of Columbus.
