Go 2 1/2 miles, road ends, turn right onto paved road, travel several miles to first paved road then turn left onto paved road - Union to Conehata Rd. Travel about 2 miles & turn left onto dirt road; sign says "Erin Church". Travel about 2 more miles & turn left on dirt road; church and cemetary on right. Scotch-Irish from the southeastern states and Irish immigrants circa 1850 from Ireland settled here. The church was named for their original homeland, "Erin".
