Anding --June 16, 1923 - Sept. 6, 2000 MCCOMB - Services for James J. Anding, 77, of McComb, who died Sept. 6, 2000, in McComb, will be at 2 p.m. today at Hartman Funeral Home with the Rev. Millard Purl officiating. Burial will be at Hollywood Cemetery in McComb under the direction of Hartman Funeral Home of McComb. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home. Mr. Anding was born June 16, 1923, in Coles, the son of Eugene George Anding and Mae Aldridge Anding. He was a retired employee from Anding Fruit Tree Nursery and edited and published the Southern Fruit Council Quarterly. He was a verteran of World War II, U.S. Army and Army Air Corps and had been active in the Republican Party politics. Mr. Anding was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include one brother, Robert E. "Brother Rob" and his wife Billie Anding of Florence; two sisters, Georgia A. and her husband James Reynolds and Nellie A. Crawford of McComb; three nephews, Charlie Anding of Madison, Ala., Skipper Anding of Ridgeland and Jamie Anding of Barrington, Ill.; and two nieces, Mamie Anding and Dianna Reynolds of McComb.
