	This Indenture made and entered into the twenty fifth day of August AD 
Eighteen Hundred and thirty Eight, Between William Myers and Darcas Myers his 
wife of the County of Scott and State of Mississippi of the first part, and 
Alfred Eastland of the same place of the other part -  
	Witnesseth; That the said parties of the first part for and in 
consideration of the sum of Five hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the 
said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have 
granted, bargained, sold, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do 
grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said party of the second 
part, his heirs and assigns that certain piece parcel or tract of land, 
situate, lying and being in the county and state aforesaid, and known and 
designated in the United States Survey thereof as the East half of the North 
East quarter of Section No. Ten, Township No. Seven of Range No. Seven East – 
containing Eighty on 28/100 acres of land more or less together with all and 
singular the hereditaments and privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging 
or in any wise appertaining.  To have and to Hold the same unto the said party 
of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And the said parties of the 
first part for themselves, their heirs executors and administrators unto the 
said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against themselves their 
heirs executors and administrators and all and every person and persons 
whomsoever claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof do by these 
presents warrant and will forever defend.
	In testimony whereof the said parties of the first part have hereunder 
set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written.
