This Indenture made and entered into this the Tenth day of June in the year of 
our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty between Cyrus Eastland of the County of 
Scott and State of Mississippi of the first part and Lindsey J Lock of the 
county and State above written of the second part.  Witnesseth that the said 
party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred 
dollars to him in hand paid at or before the sealing and delivery of these 
presents do grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said party of the 
second part his heirs and assigns that certain Lot piece or parcel of land 
situate lying and being in the presinct (sic) of the Town of Hillsboro in the 
county of Scott and the State of Mississippi and known and designated in a plat 
made by William Chambers as lot Number One lying west of and adjoining the Town 
of Hillsboro agreeable To the Original plat of the said Town on Lot No four in 
square No  __ fronting on Main Street on the north on the north containing one 
acre square of Land together with all and singular the hereditaments privileges 
and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining.  To have and 
to hold the said piece parcel or tract of land unto the said party of the 
second part his heirs and assigns forever and the said party of the first part 
for himself his heirs executors and administrators unto the said party of the 
second part his heirs and assigns against himself his heirs executors and 
administrators and all and every person or persons whomsoever claiming or to 
claim the same or any part or parcel thereof do by these presents warrant and 
will forever defend.
In testimony whereof the said party of the first part has hereunto set his hand 
and affixed his seal the day and year above written
