		The State of Mississippi
	Know all men by these presents that for and in consideration of the sum 
of two hundred and fifty dollars the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, I 
Cynthia J McGehee of the County of Hinds and the State of Mississippi have this 
day bargained and sold and by these presents do sell convey grant and deliver 
to Mrs. Martha Lowry of the County of Scott and State above the following Lot 
or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Scott and State above (to 
wit) Commencing at the South west corner of Section eight and running east 39 
chains and 86 links, thence North 30 chains and 41 links, thence west 39 chains 
and 76 links, thence South 30 chains and 41 links to the place of beginning, 
embracing part of the SW1/4 of Section eight in Township eight, Range seven 
East containing in all 120 91/100 acres more or less together with all and 
singular the hereditements and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise 
appertaining, to have and to hold the said lot or parcel of land its premises 
and appurtenances to her the said Martha Lowry her heirs and assigns forever in 
fee simple absolute and the said lot of land its premises and appurtenances,.   
I the said Cynthia J. McGehee do hereby and will forever warrant and defend to 
the said Martha Lowry her heirs and assigns against myself my heirs executors 
administrators and assigns and against all and every other person or persons 
claiming or to claim the same, Witness my hand and seal the 17th day of March 
1856

Superior Court of Chancery		Personally appeared before one J T 
Simms Clk of said Court, the within named Cynthia J McGehee who acknowledged 
that she signed sealed and delivered the within deed on the day and year, and 
for the purposes contained therein as her voluntary act and deed.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said 
Court at office this 19th day of March AD 1856

The State of Mississippi
   Scott County			I James D Jones Clk of the Probate Court of 
said County do hereby certify that the within and foregoing Deed and 
certificate of acknowledgement was filed in my Office for record the 4th day of 
November 1856 and the same together with this certificate of record an truly 
and duly recorded in my Office in Deed Book G on page 251, the 10th day of 
November 1856
Given under my hand and seal of Office at Hillsboro the 10th day of November AD 
1856
