		Received of William W Lowry Two hundred dollars for the 
purchase of Lot No 2 in Row No 2 in the town of Hillsboro Scott County, State 
of Mississippi.  Also for 73 of an acre on the west side of it lying and being 
in said state and county as described as follows commencing at the S West 
Corner of said Lot No 2 and running thence South 58 Links to a stob, Thence 
West one chain and 74 links to a stob.  Thence North 4 chains and 24 links to 
the northern boundery (sic) of said Lot No 2 in Row No 2 in a Plot of Lots 
surveyed by JW & JJ Chambers and recorded in the Probate Clerks Office of said 
County in Book of Deeds D Page 348.  To have and to hold the above described 
lot or parcel of land together with the tenements and hereditements thereunto 
pertaining or belonging unto the said William W. Lowry his heirs and assigns 
forever in fee simple.  And we hereby covenant and agree with the said William 
W Lowry to warrant and defend the title to the same against the claims of all 
persons whomsoever.
	In testimony whereof we hereunto signed our names and affixed our seals 
this 21st day of November AD 1857				L M Wiley

Madison County	Personally appeared before me an acting Justice of the Peace in 
and for said County Oliver A Luckett one of the firm of Lawson & Luckett who 
acknowledged that he signed the names of the within grantors as atty in fact in 
connection with his partner C A H Lawson for them to the within deed of 
conveyance on the day and year therein mentioned and for the purposes and 
objects therein specified – Given under my hand and seal this 21st day of Nov

said County do hereby Certify that the within and foregoing Deed and 
Certificate of acknowledgement  together with this certificate of record are 
this day truly recorded in my Office in Deed Book G on pages 563 &564

County Surveyor of said County do hereby certify that I have surveyed for Wm W 
Lowry Lot No 2 in Ros No 2 in the Town of Hillsboro, Also 73 of an acre on the 
West side of it as follows, commencing at the SW Corner & running thence South 
58 Links to a stob.  Thence W one chain & 74 Links to stob Thence North Four 
chains & 24 Links to Northern boundary of said Lot no 2 in Row No 2 in a Plot 
of Lots surveyed by Jm & JJ Chambers and recorded in the Probate Clerks office 
of said County in Book of Deeds D Page 348 a Plot of said Lot No 2 & appendage 
is as follows.
Appendage 73/100 acre	Lot No. 2
The variation of the needle being 7° E.
