Richard Whitehead	This Indenture made and entered into this twenty second 
day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty 
nine by and between Wesley Alsobrook and Charlotte Alsobrook wife of said 
Wesley of the County of Rankin and State of Mississippi of the first part and 
Richard Whitehead of the County of Scott and State aforesaid of the second 
part; Witnesseth; That the said parties of the first part for and in 
consideration of the sum of Four hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the 
said party of the second part at and before the sealing and delivery of these 
presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained, 
sold, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, 
convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns 
forever all the right, title, claim and interest in and to the following 
described tract or parcel of land lying and being situate in the County of 
Scott and State of Mississippi known and described as follows (to wit) a part 
of the East half of the North West quarter of Section Number two and a part of 
the West half of the South West quarter of Section number two and a part of the 
East half of South West quarter of Section Number two all in Township number 
seven of Range number seven East bounded on the south by a certain branch or 
rivulet and on the East by the West half of the South East quarter of Section 
number two and on the North by a certain branch or rivulet and on the West 
Westwardly by the North and South line of said Section containing seventy five 
acres and 39/100 of an acre more or less to have and to hold the same unto him 
the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever and the said 
parties of the first part for themselves their heirs executors and 
administrators unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and 
assigns the right and title to the above described land will warrant and hereby 
binds themselves, their heirs executors and administrators to forever defend 
against the claim or claims of all and every or persons whomsoever claiming or 
to claim the same or any part or parcel thereof both at law and in equity. In 
testimony whereof the said parties of the first part hath hereunto set their 
hands and affixed their seals the day and year above written.

The State of Mississippi				Charlotte Alsobrook
	Rankin County		Personally appeared before me Drew Fitzhugh 
Clerk of the Probate Court in and for said County the above named Wesley 
Alsobrook who acknowledged that he signed sealed and delivered the foregoing 
Deed for the purposes therein specified also at the same time came Charlotte 
Alsobrook wife of the said Wesley Alsobrook who being by me examined separate 
and apart from her said husband acknowledged that she signed sealed and 
delivered the same as her voluntary act and deed freely without any fear, 
threats or compulsion of her said husband.
Given under my hand and seal of office hereunto 
annexed at Brandon this 22nd day of February AD 1849

	Scott County			I Alfred Eastland Clerk of the Probate 
Court in and for said County do hereby certify that the foregoing Deed and 
certificate of acknowledgement and this certificate of record are truly 
recorded in my office in Book of Deeds E Pages 74 and 75 – 
				Given under my hand and seal of office at
				Hillsboro this 28th day of February AD 1849 –
