David R. Jones Tax Collector	Filed in my office the 11th day of April 1848

		The State of Mississippi Scott County
I David R. Jones Tax Collector of Scott County have this day according to law, 
sold the following tract or tracts of land, or other property , to wit; E1/2 of 
Southwest ¼ & northwest ¼ of northwest1/2 of [Section] Thirteen Township nine 
of Range five east and East1/2 of NE1/4 of Section Twenty four Township Nine of 
Range five east as the property of Allen Dens for the taxes due thereon for the 
year 1847 when William D. Eastland became the best bidder at the sum of Four 
15/100 dollars.  I therefore sell and convey said land to said William D 
Eastland his heirs and assigns for ever.
	Given under my hand and seal this 4 day of April AD 1848
								David R. Jones
								Tax Collector
The State of Mississippi
	Scott County			This day personally appeared before me 
Alfred Eastland Clerk of the Probate Court in and for said County the above 
named David R. Jones Tax Collector in and for the County and State aforesaid 
who acknowledged that he signed sealed and delivered the above deed on the day 
and year and for the purposes therein mentioned as he official act and deed.
Given under my hand and seal of office in Hillsboro this 11 day of April AD 
1848.  	                                               Alfred Eastland Clerk

The State of Mississippi   I Ed Cavenah Clerk of the Probate Court in and for
	Scott County	    said County do hereby certify that the within deed 
and certificate of acknowledgement and this certificated of record are truly 
recorded in my office in Book E of deeds page 203 of the record of deeds in my 
said office
			Given under my hand and seal of office at Hillsboro
			This 3rd day of August AD 1850
