Wofford of said county and state for and in consideration of the sum of eighty and 85/100 dollars to him in hand paid before the sealing and delivery of these presents by William W Lowry of the same County and State have bargained and sold and do hereby grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Lowry the following described lot or parcel of land in the town of Hillsboro, to wit; Beginning at stake at the North West corner of Lot No 1 deeded to Martha S. Gilmer by J.J. Smith thence west one hundred and five yards to stake at NE corner of a lot belonging to the estate of Asa Chambers deceased, thence South one hundred and ninety seven yards to stake, thence East one hundred and five yards to stake on the western line of Wm McCle_____ lot in said town thence north forty yards to stake thence west thirty five yards to stake thence north ninety one yards to stake, thence East thirty five yards to stake and thence north sixty six yards to the beginning corner containing three and a half acres more or less. Said lot is in the West half NE1/4 Sect 18, Township 7, Range 8 East, the said William W. Lowry to have and to hold the said land with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said Wm W. Lowry his heirs and assigns forever. And the said party of the first part for himself, his heirs executors and administrators do covenant with the said party of the second part, that he will forever warrant and defend the same to his his heirs and assigns free from and against the right title and claim of himself and heirs, and of any and all persons whatsoever.
