Ledbetter Filed for record July 19th 1860 To/Deed Jas D. Jones Clerk W.W. Lowry The State of Mississippi: Scott County Know all men by these presents that we B.T. Ledbetter and his wife Mary A. Ledbetter of said County of Scott for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to them in hand paid before the sealing and delivery of these presents by W.W. Lowry of the county of Scott in said State have bargained and sold and do hereby grant bargain sell and convey unto the said W.W. Lowry the following described land situate lying and being in the County of Scott and State of Mississippi to wit. Beginning at the north West corner of W.W. Lowrys lot in square No five of the Town of Hillsboro and running thence south with the line of said lot one hundred and forty feet to a stake. Thence west twenty one & a half feet to a stake. Thence North one hundred and forty feet. Thence East twenty one & a half feet to the beginning corner. The said W.W. Lowry to have and to hold the said land with all and singular the appurtenances thereof to the said W.W. Lowry his heirs or assigns and the said B.T. Ledbetter & Mary A. Ledbetter for themselves and their heirs executors and administrators do covenant with the said W.W. Lowry that they will forever warrant and defend the same to him his heirs or assigns free from and against the right title and claim of themselves and their heirs, and of any and all persons whatsoever, and the said B.T. Ledbetter & Mary A. Ledbetter in testimony hereof have hereunto set their names and affixed their seals this tenth day of January in the year of our Lord 1860 B.T. Ledbetter M. A.
