		This Indenture made this twenty fifth day of January in the 
year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty between Geo C. Harper of 
the first part and Hiram Eastland of the second part Witnesseth that the said 
part of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Twelve hundred 
dollars paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt of which is 
hereby acknowledged and by these presents grant bargain and sell convey and 
confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns, a certain 
tract or parcel of land situated lying and being in the County of Scott and 
State of Mississippi to with one Lot in the town of Hillsboro known and 
described as SW1/4 Lot No. (9) nine Square No. (7) seven together with all and 
singular the buildings improvements rights privileges immenities and 
appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, To have and to 
hold that premises and property, so conveyed as aforesaid to the said Hiram 
Eastland of the second part his heirs and assigns forever; and the said George 
C Harper of the first part his heirs executors and administrators, unto the 
said Hiram Eastland of the second part his heirs and assigns the property land 
and premises aforesaid and the appurtenances aforesaid will and the same hereby 
forever does warrant and defend against all persons whatsoever.
	In witness whereof, the said George C. Harper of the first part 
hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written.
