Silas Manar	This Indenture made and entered into this twenty seventh day of 
August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five 
between Alfred Eastland of the first part and Silas Manar of the second part 
all of the County of Scott in the State of Mississippi.  Witnesseth, That the 
said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of one 
hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, 
hath this day granted bargained sold and conveyed, and doth by these presents 
grant bargain sell, and convey unto the said party of the second part all the 
right title claim and interest, in and to the following described Lot or parcel 
of land situate lying and being in the Town of Hillsboro in the County and 
State aforesaid and more particularly known and described in the plat of said 
Town as Lot No. Nine in square No. seven together with all and singular the 
hereditaments privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise 
appertaining To have and to hold the same and every part and parcel thereof to 
him the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever.  
And the said party of the first part for himself, his heirs executors and 
administrators, doth covenant promise and agree to and with the said party of 
the second part his heirs and assigns to warrant and forever defend the right 
and title to the aforesaid lot or parcel of land and premises against the 
lawful claim or claims of all persons whatsoever claiming or to claim the same 
or any part thereof both in law and equity.
  In testimony whereof the said party of the first part hath hereunto set his 
hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written.

The State of Mississippi	Personally appeared before me Asa Chambers an 
acting
Scott County			Justice of the Peace in and for said County 
Alfred Eastland who acknowledged that he signed sealed and delivered the within 
Deed on the day and year and for the uses and purposes therein mentioned as his 
act and deed.  Given under my hand and seal the 27th day of August AD 1845

The State of Mississippi
  Scott County			I Alfred Eastland clerk of the Probate Court in 
and for said County do hereby certify that the within and foregoing Deed and 
certificate of acknowledgement and the certificate of record are truly recorded 
in my office in Book of Deeds D, Page 99 – Given under my hand and seal of 
office in Hillsboro this 29th September AD 1845
