Jones Clk This Indenture made and entered into this the 5th day March in the year of Lord One thousand eight hundred and fifty nine, between Benj. S. Ricks and Eliza A. Ricks his wife, of the County of Madison and State of Mississippi of the first part, and Martha Lowry of Scott County and aforesaid State of the second part, witnesseth that the said Benj. S. Ricks and Eliza A. Ricks his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of Six hundred dollars to them in hand paid by the said Martha Lowry, at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have this day granted, bargained, and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain, and sell unto said Martha Lowry, and to her heirs and assigns forever all their right, title, claim and interest in and to following tract or parcel of land, situate, lying, and being, in the County of Scott, and State of Mississippi, known and designated as the North East quarter of the North half of the East half of the South East quarter of Section seventeen, Township Eight and Range seven East, containing two hundred acres more or less, together with all and singular the premises and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, to have, and to hold to the said Martha Lowry, and her heirs and assigns, all the foregoing described land, and premises in fee simple forever. And the said Benj. S. Ricks, and Eliza A Ricks his wife for themselves, their heirs, executors, and administrators by these presents covenant promise and agree, to and with the said Martha Lowry her heirs, executors, and administrators, that they will and their heirs executors, and administrators shall forever warrant and defend title to said granted land and premises against the claim or claims of all and every person and persons whosoever at law and equity.
