To			the 20th day of April 1844	A. Eastland Clerk	
Alfred Eastland of
Vanderhurst & Silverburg’s
	Land				The State of Mississippi
Sale April 8th 1844				Scott County
			I Jeremiah B. White tax Collector of the Said County of 
Scott, have this day according to law sold the following tract of land, to 
wit;  Lot No. 4 in Square No. 4 on Main & Madison Streets in the town of 
Hillsboro in said County as the property of Vanderhurst & Silverburg for the 
taxes due thereon for the year 1843 to wit the sum of one dollar, when Alfred 
Eastland being the best bidder, at the sum of one &5/100 dollar – I therefore 
sell and convey said land to Alfred Eastland his heirs executors, 
administrators and assigns forever.  Given under my hand and seal this eight 
day of April AD 1844.
							J B White Tax Collector
The State of Mississippi		Personally appeared before me
	Scott County			Abner Lack an acting Justice of the 
peace within and for said County, Jeremiah B White who acknowledged that he 
signed sealed and delivered the above Deed on the day and year therein 
mentioned as his official act and deed and for the purposes therein mentioned.  
Given under my hand and seal this 20th day of April 1844.			
			Abner Lack Justice of the Peace.
The State of Mississippi	I Alfred Eastland Clerk of the Probate Court
	Scott County		in and for said County do hereby certify that 
the above Deed and certificate of acknowledgement and this certificate of 
record are truly recorded in my office in Book of Deeds D. Pages 256 and 257.	
	
			Given under my hand and seal of office in 
			Hillsboro this 16th day of May AD 1846
