James Watson THOMPSON was born on 24 Sep 1864 in Montgomery, Montgomery County, 
AL and died on 29 Jan 1948 at Baptist Hospital, Scott County, MS.  He was the 
son of William D THOMPSON and Nancy H ROWE.  He was married to Minnie Lee 
McCARTY on 26 Dec 1890 in Brandon, Rankin County, MS.  He worked as a County 
Coroner and Ranger.  He came to Scott County in 1868 as a part of the wagon 
train from AL with his parents and siblings.

Minnie Lee McCARTY was born on 04 Mar 1872 in MS and died on 12 Feb 1919 in 
Scott County, MS.  She was the daughter of James McCARTY and Laura Ophelia 
HARKEY.
