June 16, 1905 Mrs. Dee Davis Gillam, wife of Mr. M.M. Gilman and daughter of Mr. Irvin Davis, one of the oldest and most respected citizens of thes city was born in Lake Providence, La. October 6, 1876 and died in Greenville, Miss, June 0, 1905. The esteemed young woman at the time of her demise was but 29 years old; thus makeing her loss the keener to those near and dear to her. She leaves a husband, an aged father and two childdren, many relatives, and a host of friends, whose hears are saddend at the parting. Soon after her marriage she professed religion and joined the Methodist Church, and from that time her life and spirit proved her conversion genuine and lasting. Hers was a beautiful life. Being blesssed with the natural graces of character, unselfishness amiability, cheerfulness and generosity made her a faverite with her associates. She died as she live, in a perfect christian faith without the least fear or trepidation. Greenville had been her home only a few years but she claimed many warm friends. She was a faithful wife, a devoted mother, kind sister and a true friend. She has gone on before and awaits to welcome her loved, ones in the perpetual sunshine and supreme radience of the Saviors presence, Jesus said, "Of such is the Kingdom of Heaven.
