                           Tony Crane Sr.
 Tony Crane Sr., 84, of Buckatunna died Sun. June 17, at Wayne General 
Hospital in Waynesboro.
 Crane is survived by his wife, Manda Lyne Lee of Buckatunna; a son, Tony 
Crane of Waynesboro; two brothers, Henry Lee Crane of Buckatunna and Cleavy 
Crane of Laurel; three sisters, Marrell Rigney of Buckatunna, Myrtle McCary of 
Buckatunna, and Dean Sumners of Lucedale; one grandchild and two great-
grandchildren.
 Crane was born on Jan. 26, 1923 in Wayne County. He was a member of Chicora 
Lodge No. 538 and was Master of Lodge. He was a member of the University of 
Southern Mississippi (USM) Alumni Association and the Buckatunna United 
Methodist Church and was adult Sunday school teacher. He was chairman of the 
board and past member of the Parsonage Committee. He served with the Game and 
Fish Commission for 9 & 1/2 years. He was a retired heavy equipment operator 
and National Guard soldier.
 Funerals services were held on June 18 at Freeman Funeral Home with the Rev. 
Harold McInnis, the Rev. Lavon Crane, and the Rev. Jack Wooten III and the 
Rev. Willis Cochran officiating. Interment followed at Winchester Cemetery in 
Waynesboro.
 Freeman Funeral Home of Waynesboro was in charge of arangements.
