A resident of Waynesboro, Mr. Giles was a self-employed farmer, an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Philadelphus Presbyterian Church. Funeral services for Mr. Giles were held Saturday, Oct. 14 at 11am from Freeman Chapel with the Rev. Lee Bloodworth and the Rev. Henry McDuffe officiating. The services concluded with burial in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Nellie Giles of Waynesboro; his daughter, Margaret Dennis of Saraland, Ala.; four brothers, Charlie Giles and Evans Giles, both of Mobile, Lynn Giles of Waynesboro, and Carl Giles of Florida; three sisters, Carleen Toomey and Doris Giles, both of Waynesboro and Lula Mae Lewis of Silas, Ala.; and two grandsons.
