                              Berta Hike
 Berta Una Hike, 79, of Deming, NM, sister of Birdie Halbrook of Trent, died 
at 2:45am at Members Memorial Hospital in Deming. Graveside services will be 
at 2pm Friday at Cedar Hill Cemetery directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 
542 Hickory Street.
 The Rev. Alan Cartwright, Baptist minister, will officiate.
 Survivors include three sons, Noel of Tampa, Fla., and Bob and Varner, both 
of Bellevue, Neb.; four daughters, Ruby Cooley of Highlands, Lucille Ziedell 
of Fair Haven, Mich., Virginia Harris of Friendswood and Betty Harrelson of 
Deming, NM; two sisters, Birdie Halbrook of Trent and Louise Gass of El Paso; 
37 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
 Grandsons will be pallbearers.

Additional Comments:
Berta was born 1-14-1906 to Noel Bebose Holston and Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" 
Giles Hoslton. Both are buried in the Trent Cemetery in Taylor County, texas.
