She was 85. Mrs. Singley, was a native of Choctaw County, Ala. and had made her home in the Progress community for the past 40 years where she resided in Route 1 Buckatunna. She was a member of the Zion Rest Baptist Church. Survivors are three sons, Rexford Singley of Prichard Ala, Leroy Singley, Progress, and A. T. Singley of Waynesboro; four daughters, Mrs. Lola V. Cook of Waynesboro, Mrs. W. R. Wadley of Buckatunna, Mrs. Robert Lee of Wayne County, and Mrs. E. M. Hester of Millry, Ala.; two brothers, Raymond Lee of Silas, Ala. and Claude Lee of Millry; two sisters, Mrs. Inez Becton and Mrs. Minnie Powe, both of Silas; 26 grandchildren; and 46 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held for her from the Zion Rest Baptist Church, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. Billy Hollingsworth officiating, assisted by the pastor, the Rev. J. L. Hearn, and interment followed in the Mt. Zion, Ala. cemetery, Freeman directing. Additional Comments: Lola was born 8-17-1881 to William Valentine Lee and Amy Desina Delease Gunn Lee. Her husband was Alvin Taylor Singley who is also buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Choctaw County Alabama.
