                              Leroy Singley
 Wayne County resident Leroy Singley, 69, was killed in a logging accident 
Thursday, Feb. 19, 1987, near his home on Route 1, Buckatunna. Mr. Singley was 
a veterinarian and a farmer. He was a member of Buckatunna Baptist Church and 
a native of Alabama.
 Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 21 from Buckatunna Baptist Church 
with the Rev. Leonard Walters, the Rev. Johnny Carter, and the Rev. Wilbur 
Waters officiating. Burial followed in Buckatunna Cemetery with Freeman 
Funeral Home directing.
 Mr. Singley is survived by his wife, Louise Singley of Buckatunna; one son, 
David Lee Singley of Buckatunna; one brother, A. T. Singley of Buckatunna; 
three sisters, Willie Lee Wadley of Buckatunna, Lola V. Cook of Waynesboro, 
and Vermell Lee of Mobile, Ala.; two grandchildren; and two great-
grandchildren.

Additional Comments:
Leroy was born 4-20-1917 to Alvin Taylor Singley and Lola Olive Lee Singley.
