Spencer Cemetery, Webster Co., MS T21N R10E S4, Webster County Road 207 (aproximately 100 yards from Calhoun County Line where the County Road number changes to Calhoun County Road 411.) Compiled by Frank Spencer July/18/1998 This cemetery is located on the old homeplace of Elias Spencer. Elias was born in North Carolina, moved to Georgia after 1810, then to Alabama by 1816 and by 1837 finally to what was Choctaw County and now is Webster County. The Choctaw County Tax Roll of 1837 is the 1st record I have found identifying Elias and his family in the County. He and his wife Sara had 13 children and 3 of them, George W., Nancy, and Henry E. have tombstones here. As shown below, it is felt that another son, Greene Berry is also buried here. Also probably buried here is Sara's mother, whom family legend says moved with them to Mississippi. A Sealy Hays is listed in the Elias Spencer Family Bible as dying on September 6, 1844, and would logically be this individual. All of the information shown below is taken directly from the tombstones except information contained in brackets [ ] which has been supplied by me. First Row 1) Ada Almer Dau. of Geo.
